Do you have a Flip-Pal mobile scanner, and have recently (or are due to soon), update your Mac computer? I’m writing this as a number of customers who have had a Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner for years, have recently updated their Mac, and have then found that they were unable to use their Flip-Pal with it. At least it didn’t intially.
Flip-Pal have come now to the party, and have a ‘fix’ of the Toolbox software that will work on Catalina (Mac OS 10.15), but unfortunately it cannot be downloaded, so it requires you to purchase a new SD card with the software pre-installed.
They say …
The 64-bit version of the Flip-Pal Toolbox software that is compatible with the Catalina (and later) releases of Mac OS, can not be packaged into a ZIP file that passes Apple’s security for downloads. That leaves one option – to order a new SD card with the software preinstalled.
But hey, to still be able to use your scanner, it is worth it, right?
- Click here to buy a new SD card if you’re in America – US$19.99
- Click here to buy a new SD card f you’re elsewhere in the world – US$21.99
So once purchased, you will receive a brand new 16GB SD card with Toolbox 4 software for Mac already installed on it.
And for those who have a Windows computer and need to update or re-download your Flip-Pal Toolbox software, you can download it from here.
It cannot be downloaded, so it requires you to purchase a new SD card with the software pre-installed. And for those who have a Windows computer and need to update or re-download your Flip-Pal Toolbox software. Some parts are easy peasy and others I am afraid of because even now I find myself still trying to figure things out despite starting blogging ages ago.
