Respondents were asked to list ALL countries or regions they have ancestors from, however far back. Generally this does not include the country they currently live in, with the exception of those with indigenous (Aboriginal) Australian ancestry.
Our polls are open to anyone, but most of our respondents will be Australians. Further they are mainly those actively involved in family history research, so won’t altogether represent the general population.
