Do you need some help understanding DNA and genealogy? Are you wondering how your ancestors got to Australia? So you’d like to get started on military research, but where do you start? Have you tapped into the powerful tool that oral history is? Do you know the history of your house, and how to find out about it? Or maybe you’ve done years of research and now want to put it all into a book, just how do you go about it?
“Exploring and Writing Family and Local History” is a two day seminar which will give you answers to all of the above and more.
Held in May to coincide and with South Australia’s History Festival, which is a month-long event with over 600 event (tours, talks, walks, exhibitions, concerts, and more) celebrating all facets of South Australia’s history.
Over the two days, those attending will learn about DNA, writing, publishing, immigration, oral history, military ancestors, house history, and photos (including where to find them, and how to identify them).
