K is for kin, both close and distant, without whose generosity I would not have the wonderful collection of early family photographs of my father, his mother, half-aunts, and half uncle that I treasure so much. My father’s mother died shortly after the birth of her third child. All three sons were raised by different members of the maternal Welsh/English line and the paternal Scottish clans and my father had no photos until various Great Aunts and cousins kindly filled the void.
