Earlier this month Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine held their 3rd annual Transcription Tuesday, and this year’s was another success with thousands of records being transcribed in a single day. You can read all about that here.

But that got me thinking as to what projects (other than the Trove newspapers of course), were available for Australians to transcribe? So I went looking and found a whole host of projects going on.

As we know, every text correction, every index, and every transcript, helps someone find a record that otherwise wouldn’t have been easily found. So if you want to give a little back to the incredible genealogy community, here’s some links to Australian genealogy projects that you might like to consider. Or as a suggestion, why not make a day of it at your local genealogy group, and have a bunch of you working on it together. Wouldn’t that be fantastic?

Anyway, as you can see there’s a whole range of projects, so take a look through them, and see what you’d like to be a part of.
