“History Week 2011, discover the wonder of Victoria’s Past”, that is the slogan for this year’s History Week in Victoria … and it’s a good one isn’t it?
Anyway October 23 (this coming weekend) marks the start of History Week for 2011, and if you are a history or genealogy buff (which no doubt was scheduled on your calendar months ago) you’ll be loving the opportunity to spend the week travelling back in time, discovering Victoria’s amazing history.
Held over 8 days, from 23-30 of October, you’ll find everything from facsinating walking tours, and engaging discussions, to exhibitions and ‘history in the making’ events – there really is something that everyone to enjoy.
Organised by the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, and judging by the hundreds of events that are listed on the website, this is sure to a complete success.
