We’re not quite at the end of the month, yet July has been a has been a BIG, BIG month for new genealogy records online, particularly with the big players in the field. Military records, Wills, Business records, Convicts, Civil Registrations, Parish Registers, Directories, and Cemetery records

Over half a million British military records covering 100 years of the British militia – the forerunner of the British Army – have been published online on FindMyPast.co.uk. The Militia Service Records 1806-1915 collection contains 580,281 soldiers’ records with 2,223,510 associated images.

Here’s some exciting news for researchers looking for reli’s in Cambridgeshire. Findmypast.co.uk have just added over 1 million new parish records for Cambridgeshire online. The vast quantity of records and the wide date range they cover, make them a hugely valuable resource for family historians.

Wow, what a way to start the year! FamilySearch have just announced another 90 million records have gone online. That is 90 MILLION records people … records that were not online even a month ago!!
