British Pathé Releases 85,000 Historic Films on YouTube

British Pathe The British Pathé collection of historic films spans the years from 1896 to 1976, and includes footage from not only from Britain, but from around the globe. Amongst the 90,000 films that British Pathé have put online (of which 85,000 are newly uploaded) you’ll find sports, fashion, interviews, the Royal family, the Titanic, the destruction of the Hindenburg, gardens, military, parades, travel, and 1000s more. anzac 180 There’s no doubt that 2014 is the year military historians have been working towards for years as it marks the 100 year anniversary of the start of World War 1. The Great War. The “war to end all wars”. As you can imagine there are literally thousands of World War 1 projects going on right around the world. Some big, some small. All important in recording history.
