Windows 8 has only been out for about two weeks, and we’ve already had a number of inquiries from people who have, or who it already or who are wishing to update to it, and querying if their genealogy software will work on it.
As we don’t have Windows 8 on any of our computers, we sent a query out to all of the genealogy software publishers that we deal with, and have got responses back from each of them. The good news is that the ALL suppliers said their programs* work on Windows 8.
*Note: it will work the current versions, not necessarily earlier versions of the programs.

Why does the people at ancestry tell me I have to buy ancestry for windows 8. I had no trouble with it in XP,Vista or win 7. All I get is the run a round from the tech’s
