Vote Now in Family Tree Magazine’s 40 Best Genealogy Blogs

The end of 2010 is not far away, and Family Tree Magazine (the US version of this title) has just announced the nominees for its 40 Best Genealogy Blogs contest with results to be announced in the July 2011 issue!

With so many good genealogy blogs around the people at Family Tree Magazine have managed to get their list down to 117. You’ll find a list of all 117 nominees below. Now they’re wanting your help to narrow it down to the Top 40.

I wish to congratue all who were nomintaed, as it is a great list to be amongst, with many of the blogs I read nominated. While there does seem to be US slant to the nominees, I think this would be simply because the US has more genealogy bloggers there than here in Australia, or Canada or New Zealand?? But some of the best genie blogs I read come from those in the US, so please don’t dismiss them, there is so much wonderful information these people share.

In saying that, there are others from various countries (including Australia) who have made the list, so very well done to them.

  1. As a proud Aussie I am thrilled to be on the shortlist.

Hopefully, when you are voting, you might Give a tick to the Geniaus blog in the Heritage category and put an Australian blog in the Top 40.
